REGION |
100% Clare Valley |
COLOUR |

BOUQUET |
This is a heady mix of lifted confection notes of raspberries and some subtle musky florals alongside ripe dark cherries, mint and mixed spice. |
PALATE |
All those vibrant fruits shine on the palate, which is surprisingly soft and round, yet fuller bodied than our previous vintages. Dark jammy flavours are balanced by savoury all-spice and the wine finishes with a warm tickle. Use of 100% older oak allows the purity of the grapes to shine. |
GENERAL |
We are becoming more experimental with this wine, relishing the opportunity to play with a little Mataro in the blend. This is a little grown variety in the Clare Valley but a fantastic blending option for wines of this style, contributing structure length and savoury notes to the wine. |
SERVE |
May be cellared (3-4 years) but not necessary for total enjoyment; a great youthful drink with gamey venison or try chinese style steamed black bean pork ribs. |
