Complex and chocolately, the nose also carries oak char, rich berry fruit and a hint of violet-type perfume.

PALATE

This is a wine of elegance, finely structured and delicately balanced (for a pretty full-on little drop). Big, juicy fruits are balanced by savoury, spicy elements in the mouth – its dark plum and licorice wrapped in gently charry oak brought into line with some crisp acid.

GENERAL

We indulge ourselves with the making of this wine; from hand selecting the best fruit from our Penwortham vineyard, leaving it on the vine just a touch longer to concentrate flavours in the berries and then allowing the wine 24 months in oak before going to bottle unfiltered. Stringent selection processes have resulted in us producing only half as much Nirvana in 2006 - another indulgence all in the name of quality.
