Bright purple with blue black hues. |
| BOUQUET |
Wonderfully youthful and fresh bouquet of plum fruit, blueberries and all spice with that tell-tale floral lift that the Viognier contributes and some soft oak spice. |
| PALATE |
This medium bodied wine shows concentrated flavours on the front palate; some jammy fruit with again fresh berries and plums complemented by some gentle saw-dusty oak. The tannins are quite smooth and integrated and a touch of stone fruit and sweet spice lingers on the finish. |
| GENERAL |
This style is made following the example of the French where we harvest our Shiraz and Viognier on the same day, effectively blending in the vineyard. Co-fermentation results in integrated Viognier characters that complement and lift the Shiraz without dominating the wine. |
| SERVE |
This lively, young wine will mellow with time but can equally be enjoyed in its youth paired with spiced dark meats Ð Greek lamb would work a treat. |
