"The world of wine, food and camaraderie that I have experienced over the past 20+ years never fails to surprise educate entertain and most of all make me laugh!
The last decade with claymore wines has been all that and more - the brand and company culture is quirky, fun filled yet uncompromising where it matters. My best moments have been those shared with my irreplaceable Claymore family as we celebrate our great luck at doing this for a living (making and savouring great booze!)."
"A wonderful brand driven by passion!" Is Damon O'Brien's take on Claymore Wines. By combining our love for great wine, music and football we have created a history that resonates with our customers, who really are our Claymore family!
Nathan Norman takes the 'reign' from Marnie Roberts as creative ruler of delicious goodness in the Barrel Store.
Nathan is an eighth-generation wine maker who grew up on his Grandfathers farm at Angle Vale. His formative years were spent at Peter Lehman Wines where he ‘cut his teeth’ in the winery after leaving school. He then travelled to Sicily, England and Spain for vintages, eventually returning to work with Tin Shed Wines for the better part of a decade. In his new appointment at Claymore Wines, Nathan will have oversight of all Vineyard and Winemaking operations.
Claymore welcomes Steve McKenzie (Aka 'Vitty Steve') to the production team as Vineyard Leading Hand and Cellar Assistant, he joins us with a wealth of experience from Quelltaller Estate, another iconic winery from the Clare Valley.
"Over the last few years the Claymore family has strengthened my love of music and great wine while teaching me about this industry." Jaye Schwarzrock comments, "we offer some great Clare Valley wines and have a lot of fun arguing about the next funky label/music match which is going to be produced (or not so funky – more crazy at times!!!). I’m loving the London Calling Cabernet Malbec at present, you have to try some!
