We start with an informal guided Riesling tasting out where the magic happens...in the vineyard.
Meet up at the Claymore Wines' Cellar Door for your transfer to our Watervale Shankly Vineyard, home to 80+ year old Riesling vines that are sited among some of the most revered Riesling producing country in the Clare Valley. Taste current vintage (2023) Riesling is its raw glory, followed by blended and single site current releases. Kick the dirt and get a sense of why Riesling truly is made in the vineyard.
Upon return to the Claymore Wines' Cellar Door partake in a private long table shared grazing lunch in the Boot Room Barrel Store partnered with Shiraz. We will take you from barrel samples to current release reserve wines and museum aged Shiraz. Sip and savour as we invite you to explore our Dark Side and attain Nirvana.
