Winemaker - Marnie Roberts
Grape Variety - 100% Shiraz
Region - 100% Clare Valley

Bouquet - Smells like - awesome! (Direct winemaker quote!)! But seriously….. Perfumed lifted fresh oak integrated with nuances of brambly forest fruits and dark olive tapenade.
Palate - It’s a dark and brooding little beast, with subtle integration and balanced fruit; juicy dark fruit flavours of blood plums and blackcurrants. There are persistent, mouthcoating tannins and balanced oak that lifts rather than overpowers this wine. This vintage typifies Clare Valley and all it has to offer -a wine that will be hard to put down and will continue to find its stride in the months and years to come.
General - Each component used in the blending of the Boot Room creates a Shiraz that exemplifies certain characteristics of the Clare Valley. From Leasingham to just north of the Clare Valley township, we had access to parcels that defined the sub-regions of Clare and work harmoniously to create a full, rich and balanced Shiraz. Combined with careful oak selection with 20% New French Oak and 80% older French and American barrels, this Shiraz will continue to give for the next 8-10 years.
Serve With - Slow braised steak and bacon pie with flaky butter puff pastry…all the best wines deserve bacon! And pastry!
