Winemaker - Marnie Roberts
Grape Variety - 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Region - 100% Adelaide Hills (Birdwood)
Colour - Palest straw with light green hues
Bouquet - Fresh, lively and youthful – the bouquet of this wine is all lifted gooseberry, fresh cut grass and tropical notes of passionfruit and guava.
Palate - Fresh, clean and light this is an easy drinking Sauvignon Blanc wine made in a deliciously dry style. This year the grapes were picked early to retain maximum acid and a ‘greener’ fruit profile. Fresh and dry, the palate is tight and light with delicate fruit flavours. The wine finishes with lingering grassy notes and hints of green gooseberry.
General - Acknowledging that the Adelaide Hills does Sauvignon Blanc best, led us to secure ongoing supply of quality higher altitude fruit from this famous region. Minimal intervention has produced a wine of bright natural acidity, forward and appealing fruit flavours.
Serve With - The generosity of this ‘Savvy’ makes it a great drinking wine (with or without food) however we do love the idea of this one with simply prepared French style seafood; think grilled fish fillets with caper and herb butter or steamed mussels with garlic and white wine. Enjoy this wine young and fresh, within 1-2 years.
